In February of 2025, as Eric flew from Houston to Doha for work, Shannon flew from Doha to Houston on her way home from Jordan. As they were crossing paths in the air, little did they know that they would be tying the knot a little over a year later. Immediately after landing, Shannon and Eric met for the first time for brunch at Avalon Diner, where Eric was captivated by Shannon's dimpled smile and charming personality. Two rodeo dates, two weddings, and two birthdays later, Eric and Shannon were besties and ready for the world to know it. After the second wedding, Eric and Shannon told each other that they were "all in". Soon after, Eric followed up and scheduled an appointment to look at rings together. The wedding bands are engraved All In to reflect this moment in their relationship when they knew they would spend the rest of their lives together.

After going through the process of courtship, dating over six months, re-experiencing some of their first dates on a fateful Saturday, Eric took this very ring and proposed to Shannon on August 23rd, 2026, overlooking the bayou where they shared their first kiss.
